이 방침은 Read.mer가 제공하는 Chrome·Edge 확장 프로그램 ‘Shorfle’과 사용자가 선택적으로 설치하는 Shorfle Companion에 적용됩니다. Shorfle은 지원되는 숏폼 영상의 재생 완료를 감지해 다음 영상으로 이동하고, 팝업 또는 사용자가 지정한 단축키로 이전·다음 영상 이동과 재생·일시정지를 제어합니다.

현재 버전에는 Read.mer 서버, 분석 도구, 광고 SDK 또는 추적 기능으로 사용자 데이터를 보내는 코드가 없습니다. 기능 수행은 브라우저와 같은 기기의 컴패니언 앱 안에서 이루어집니다.

• 컴패니언 사용 여부와 이전·다음·재생 단축키 조합

기능 이용 횟수

자동 또는 수동으로 넘긴 영상의 오늘 횟수와 누적 횟수, 집계 기준 날짜를 저장합니다. 영상 제목, 계정, 시청 목록 또는 개별 영상별 기록은 이 횟수에 포함하지 않습니다.

지원 페이지의 상황 정보

• YouTube, TikTok, Instagram 중 현재 지원되는 페이지인지 확인하기 위한 도메인과 URL
• 명령을 전달할 탭을 찾기 위한 지원 탭의 활성 상태와 최근 사용 시점
• 영상 요소의 존재 여부, 재생·일시정지·종료 상태와 중복 넘김 방지에 필요한 영상 식별값

이 정보는 해당 페이지에서 기능을 수행하는 동안 브라우저 메모리에서 처리되며, 검색 기록이나 전체 방문 기록으로 저장하지 않습니다.

선택 설치형 컴패니언 앱

컴패니언 앱은 운영체제에서 발생하는 키 입력을 로컬에서 감지해 사용자가 설정한 단축키와 일치하는지 비교합니다. 일치하면 next, prev, playpause 명령만 Native Messaging으로 같은 기기의 확장 프로그램에 전달합니다. 일치하지 않는 일반 키 입력은 저장하거나 전송하지 않습니다.

컴패니언 앱은 시작·종료, 연결 상태, 오류와 현재 단축키 매핑을 로컬 companion.log에 기록할 수 있습니다. 이 로그에는 웹페이지 내용이나 임의의 키 입력 기록이 포함되지 않습니다.

• storage: 설정, 인터페이스 언어와 영상 넘김 횟수를 보관합니다.
• activeTab·tabs: 팝업 명령 또는 컴패니언 단축키를 전달할 지원 플랫폼 탭을 찾고 상태를 표시합니다.
• nativeMessaging: 선택 설치한 컴패니언 앱에서 단축키 명령을 받습니다.
• 지원 사이트 호스트 권한: YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels에서 영상 상태를 감지하고 재생 및 이동 명령을 실행합니다.

위 권한과 정보는 숏폼 영상 자동 넘김 및 사용자가 요청한 영상 제어라는 단일 목적에만 사용합니다. 광고, 사용자 프로파일링, 추천 알고리즘 조작 또는 계정 정보 접근에는 사용하지 않습니다.

환경설정, 단축키와 인터페이스 언어는 Chrome이 제공하는 chrome.storage.sync에 저장됩니다. 사용자가 Chrome 동기화를 켠 경우 Google 계정을 통해 로그인한 Chrome 브라우저 사이에서 동기화될 수 있으며, 동기화가 꺼져 있으면 로컬에 저장됩니다.

오늘·누적 영상 넘김 횟수와 기준 날짜는 chrome.storage.local에 로컬 저장됩니다. 지원 페이지의 URL, 영상 상태와 식별값은 기능 수행 중에만 사용하며 별도의 시청 기록으로 보관하지 않습니다.

컴패니언의 설정과 진단 로그는 사용자 기기에만 보관됩니다. 제공된 제거 기능을 사용하면 Native Messaging 등록 정보와 companion.log가 삭제됩니다. 브라우저 또는 운영체제가 관리하는 확장 데이터와 설치 화면 캐시는 해당 브라우저·운영체제 설정에서 별도로 삭제할 수 있습니다.

Read.mer는 Shorfle이 처리하는 지원 페이지 정보, 설정, 이용 횟수 또는 단축키 데이터를 Read.mer 서버로 수집하거나 제3자에게 판매·제공하지 않습니다.

Chrome 동기화를 사용하는 경우 설정 데이터는 Google이 제공하는 Chrome Sync를 통해 처리될 수 있습니다. Edge 등 다른 브라우저에서 제공하는 동기화 기능을 사용하는 경우 해당 브라우저 제공자의 정책이 적용됩니다. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram에서 사용자가 직접 이용하는 서비스 데이터에는 각 플랫폼의 개인정보처리방침이 독립적으로 적용됩니다.

확장 프로그램과 컴패니언 사이의 Native Messaging 통신은 같은 기기 안에서만 이루어지며 외부 서버를 거치지 않습니다.

사용자는 팝업에서 자동 넘김 또는 컴패니언 단축키 수신을 끌 수 있고, 단축키를 변경하거나 확장 프로그램과 컴패니언 앱을 제거할 수 있습니다. 브라우저의 확장 프로그램 데이터 삭제 기능으로 저장된 설정과 횟수를 제거할 수 있으며, 컴패니언 로그는 제공된 제거 기능 또는 파일 삭제로 제거할 수 있습니다.

Shorfle은 Read.mer 서버에 사용자 계정이나 사용 데이터를 보관하지 않으므로 Read.mer가 별도로 열람·정정·삭제할 서버 데이터는 없습니다. 삭제 방법에 관한 도움이 필요하면 아래 이메일로 문의해 주세요.

Shorfle의 Chrome API 정보 이용은 Chrome 웹 스토어 사용자 데이터 정책과 제한적 이용(Limited Use) 요건을 준수합니다. 처리하는 정보는 공개된 사용자 기능을 제공하거나 안전성과 신뢰성을 유지하는 데 필요한 범위로 제한하며, 맞춤형 광고·재타기팅·신용 판단에 사용하지 않고 사람이 내용을 읽도록 제공하지 않습니다.

Shorfle은 원격 코드를 실행하지 않으며, 외부 서버로 사용자 데이터를 전송하는 기능을 두지 않았습니다. 기능, 권한, 저장 방식 또는 외부 연동이 변경되면 변경 전에 이 방침을 업데이트하고 최종 수정일을 표시합니다.

This policy applies to the Shorfle browser extension for Chrome and Edge and the optional Shorfle Companion provided by Read.mer. Shorfle detects when a supported short-form video finishes and advances to the next video. It also lets users move to the previous or next video and play or pause through the popup or user-configured shortcuts.

The current version contains no code that sends user data to Read.mer servers, analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking services. Its features run inside the browser and, when installed, the companion app on the same device.

Extension settings

• Whether auto-advance is enabled, the end-detection threshold, and the cooldown used to prevent duplicate actions
• Whether companion shortcuts are enabled and the configured previous, next, and play/pause key combinations
• The popup interface language

Feature usage counts

Shorfle stores today's and total counts of videos advanced automatically or manually, together with the date used for the daily count. These counts do not include video titles, accounts, watch lists, or per-video viewing history.

Supported-page context

• The domain and URL needed to determine whether the page is a supported YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram page
• The active state and recent access time of supported tabs used to select where a command should be delivered
• The presence and playback state of video elements and a video identifier used temporarily to prevent duplicate advances

This context is processed in browser memory while providing the feature. Shorfle does not retain it as search history or a general browsing-history record.

Optional companion app

The companion app observes operating-system keyboard events locally and compares them with shortcuts configured by the user. When a shortcut matches, it sends only a next, prev, or playpause command to the extension through Native Messaging on the same device. It does not store or transmit ordinary unmatched keystrokes.

The companion may write a local companion.log containing start and stop events, connection state, errors, and the currently configured shortcut mappings. The log does not contain webpage content or a record of arbitrary keystrokes.

• storage: keeps settings, interface language, and video-advance counts.
• activeTab and tabs: finds a supported platform tab for popup or companion commands and displays its status.
• nativeMessaging: receives shortcut commands from the optional companion app.
• Supported-site host permissions: detects video state and performs playback or navigation actions on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

These permissions and data are used only for Shorfle's single purpose: automatically advancing short-form video and performing video controls requested by the user. They are not used for advertising, user profiling, manipulating recommendation algorithms, or accessing account information.

Preferences, shortcuts, and interface language are stored in Chrome-provided chrome.storage.sync. If Chrome Sync is enabled, Google may synchronize this data between Chrome browsers signed in to the user's account. When sync is disabled, it behaves as local storage.

Today's and total video-advance counts and the count date are kept locally in chrome.storage.local. Supported-page URLs, playback state, and video identifiers are used only while providing the feature and are not retained as a separate viewing history.

Companion settings and diagnostic logs remain only on the user's device. The provided uninstaller removes Native Messaging registration and companion.log. Extension data and installer-interface caches managed by the browser or operating system can be removed separately through the relevant browser or system settings.

Read.mer does not collect supported-page context, settings, usage counts, or shortcut data on Read.mer servers and does not sell or disclose this data to third parties.

If Chrome Sync is enabled, settings may be processed through Google-provided Chrome Sync. A corresponding browser-provider policy applies if similar synchronization is used in another browser such as Edge. The privacy policies of YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram independently govern data generated when users use those services directly.

Native Messaging between the extension and companion app remains on the same device and does not pass through an external server.

You can disable auto-advance or companion shortcut reception in the popup, change shortcut mappings, or remove the extension and companion app. Stored settings and counts can be removed through the browser's extension-data controls. The companion log can be removed with the provided uninstaller or by deleting the file.

Because Shorfle does not keep user accounts or usage data on Read.mer servers, Read.mer has no separate server-side user data to access, correct, or erase. Contact us below if you need help removing local data.

Shorfle's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data use is limited to providing disclosed user-facing features and maintaining their security and reliability. It is not used for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or access by humans.

Shorfle does not execute remote code and has no feature that transmits handled user data to an external server. If its features, permissions, storage, or third-party integrations change, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and revise the updated date.
